The 4,300 sq. ft. lodge is the centerpiece of the headquarters complex.  Fully furnished with thoughtfully chosen ranch-themed furnishings and decor, what a centerpiece it is!  A huge great room with towering, vaulted ceilings and a massive full-height stone fireplace has room enough for large gatherings and doubles as a trophy room that can display a lifetime of memories.  A welcoming covered porch off the great room provides a 25-mile view of the Texas Hill Country.  The well-equipped commercial kitchen opens into the spacious dining room with 2 large tables seating 16 or more.  Walls paneled with specially selected woods of various types and large warm-tone tiles complete a welcoming lodge atmosphere in all the common areas.  A large main floor master bedroom and 5 upstairs bedrooms offer private and comfortable respite after a long day on the ranch.  Upstairs you can try your hand at poker, pool, shuffleboard and more in the large game room or just settle into the leather sofas to watch your favorite shows on the big-screen TV.

A separate 1,120 sq. ft. guest cabin featuring a living room, kitchen, 3/BRs and a full bath comfortably accommodates additional guests.  And if more room is needed, a nearby bunk house is ready for overflow.  A short walk away, a covered rifle range is available to assure you’re ready for the hunt and a fully equipped modern game processing facility with a large walk-in cooler is conveniently close so everybody can share in post-hunt success.  On the far side of the headquarters complex, the foreman’s house, a number of barns, including a dedicated horse barn with an enclosed tack room, equipment shed and pipe livestock corral/pens complete the sprawling complex.  Being near-turnkey is one of the requirements of a Signature Property and the facilities of Rock Head Ranch make the grade.

Ken Hoerster

"Because of its beauty, charm, traditions, climate and, of course, hunting and recreational opportunities, the Hill Country is growing like mad, making it increasingly rare to find such a large ranch of the quality of Rock Head so near the fast-growing cities of Austin and San Antonio."

David Morris

“It didn’t take long on Rock Head Ranch to know I was looking at a remarkable property. Everything about it spoke to the care, effort and passion owner Bill Alexander and family have put into the property during their 20-plus-years of stewardship.  I could not imagine a better or more deserving Hill Country Ranch to bear the designation of “Tecomate Signature Property!”

Bill Alexander

"My goal for Rock Head Ranch was to grow big deer and to share this special place with others…and to have fun doing it.  Looking back over the years, we’ve done all that.  Whether friends, family, business associates or first-time guests, nearly all have left with good memories and smiles on their faces…and more times than not, a big RHR buck in tow!"
